ElevenLabs has completed a $300 million employee tender offer at a $22 billion valuation, double the valuation attached to its February funding round.
A tender offer allows employees and other shareholders to sell existing stock; it does not place the full $300 million into the company as new operating capital.
ElevenLabs entered song generation through ElevenMusic and has music licensing agreements involving Merlin, Kobalt, Believe and Universal Music Group. Its UMG agreement includes plans for a separate fan platform supporting authorized remixes, mashups and new interpretations.
Why it matters: The valuation shows how strongly investors are backing AI audio platforms that combine speech, voice agents and licensed music products. It does not establish ElevenMusic’s market share or guarantee that its music business will match the company’s success in voice technology.
