Suno Studio 2.0 moves the platform closer to a complete browser-based digital audio workstation, giving musicians more control than traditional prompt-only song generation.
Premier subscribers can now import, record and edit MIDI directly on the timeline. MIDI performances can also serve as prompts for generating new audio, allowing creators to guide Suno with notes they actually compose or perform.
The update also adds a beta production chat, advanced stem separation, automation, audio effects and customizable plugins. Premier subscribers can export unlimited 32-bit/48kHz multitracks and stems through Studio.
Why it matters: Studio 2.0 is particularly useful for hybrid AI musicians. You can record human piano, vocals, guitars or MIDI performances, combine them with generated material and make detailed production decisions within one environment. Saving your MIDI, stems and external recordings also creates clearer evidence of your human contribution.
