Google selected Base for Music for its November Gemini Startup Forum, putting an AI-powered music-marketing company inside a cohort of more than 100 startups chosen from over 2,000 applicants.

Base for Music connects advertising spend with audience, customer-relationship and streaming data for producers, labels and music companies. The French company says its Base Intelligence product is moving from reporting campaign results toward predicting likely returns before a campaign launches.

Google’s official cohort page confirms Base for Music’s selection. The company says it is the cohort’s only music-technology participant and reports serving more than 20,000 artists and labels through partners that include Ditto, iMusician, IDOL, SoundOn and Cinq Music.

Prediction should not be confused with guaranteed revenue. Base founder Maxence Bazin says current forecasts still depend partly on industry averages because distributors control much of the underlying streaming-revenue data.

Why it matters: AI in music marketing is shifting from automated copy and targeting toward budget forecasting and attribution. Artists evaluating these tools should demand transparent assumptions, compare projected results with actual net revenue and avoid treating a forecast as a promise.
